Morgan starred alongside other actors in the informational film Safe Sex for Men and Women, which focuses on AIDS prevention and awareness. Part of the money were donated to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a part of the Entertainment Industry's AIDS Task Force. Morgan has spearheaded numerous other fundraisers for the disease and also appeared in front of a specific Congressional committee about AIDS education. Morgan is a part of the Board of Governors of APLA, and of Amfar's Board of Directors. Former Surgeon-General C. Everett Koop has requested her to fill in for him at AIDS occasions and has been the host of an AIDS Awareness Special with anchorman Steve Bell. She's appeared on Nightline with Ted Koppell regarding AIDS. Morgan is nominated as the Emmy recipient for her role in Diane English's Murphy Brown Special Episode written especially for Morgan. In the spring, she appeared alongside Joan Rivers on ABC's Your Money or Your Wife. The summer began with Murder At The PTA Luncheon. The show, Von Zerneck/Sertner also included Cindy Williams and Marla Gabbs. Morgan then appeared in the production of Harmony Gold, Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady that starred Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan was also the sole actor in the USA Network's psychological suspense-thriller that earned some of most impressive ratings this network's had.
